How to judge the quality of a filter element
Oct 21, 2025
1. Filter Material
High-quality filter paper should have uniform color and densely arranged fibers (higher density on the windward side). Low-quality filter paper often exhibits burrs or uneven light transmission.
2. Sealing Ring
The sealing compound should be made of highly elastic rubber, which rebounds quickly and adheres tightly to the filter paper.
3. Skeleton
The skeleton should be thick and made of high-quality carbon steel or stainless steel, resistant to high pressure and corrosion.
4. Process
The multi-layer pleated process achieves higher dust holding capacity.
5. Structure
The edges should be neatly cut, free of burrs or excess glue, and the internal structure should be regular.
6. Weight
For the same volume, high-quality filter elements are generally heavier due to their higher material density. However, weight is not an absolute standard and should be considered in conjunction with other indicators.
