Is a higher precision hydraulic oil filter always better?
Aug 21, 2025
Higher precision isn't always better. Excessively high precision can lead to
1. Blockage, increasing replacement frequency and costs;
2. Increased pressure differential, potentially reducing system efficiency, causing heat generation, and even triggering the bypass valve;
3. Filter media with excessively high precision can be more fragile due to its low pressure tolerance.
It is recommended to select a filter with a precision that matches the hydraulic system components.
