What is Fiberglass Sintered Filter
Sep 10, 2025
Fiberglass Sintered filter elements are industrial filtration products made by adding chemical additives to a glass fiber solution, then sintering at controlled temperature, speed, and pressure to form a bonded structure.
This filter element is suitable for purifying industrial dust from high-temperature, high-humidity, and acidic and alkaline gases. It is widely used in waste incineration, cement production, chemical smelting, metallurgy, medicine, health care, food and beverage, and other fields.
It utilizes cross-flow liquid-solid precision separation technology, achieving a filtration accuracy range of 0.01-50 microns, intercepting over 95% of particles 0.1 micron and achieving a residual oil content of 0.01 mg/m³. Its smooth, hydrophobic surface inhibits dust adhesion and supports gas-liquid backwashing and chemical cleaning regeneration. It offers a temperature range of 80-120°C and a pressure tolerance of 0.1-0.6 MPa, and is compatible with strong acids, strong bases, and organic solvents. Available in diameters from 10-300 mm and lengths from 80-2000 mm, it features flat-type, plug-in, and threaded connections, compatible with equipment with an outer diameter of 24-1000 mm.
Features of sintered glass fiber filter elements:
1. High Filtration Efficiency: Achieves over 95% filtration efficiency for fine dust particles 0.1μm and larger, achieving near-zero emissions.
2. Low Operating Resistance: The sintered glass fiber filter element is inherently dust-resistant, hydrophobic, and chemically stable, resulting in excellent dust removal performance, especially for hygroscopic, easily adhered, and hardened dust.
3. Long-term operating temperature: 260°C, short-term and transient operating temperature: 300°C (flame-retardant versions offer even higher temperature resistance), with a thermal shrinkage rate of less than 0.5%.
4. Excellent Thermal Stability: Thermal shrinkage at 300°C is less than 0.5%, ensuring safe operation at high temperatures.
5. Size Range: Φ10-600mm, H10-1200mm.
